What the mother plant actually does

  • It unlocks an Aokema research entry; do not expect it to behave like a normal seed in a basin.
  • Every completed research awards five seeds immediately.
  • The shop starts stocking the seed on the next day only when the current season is suitable.
  • Plant Research Reports come from processing crop products in the Plant Analyzer.

Avoid a hidden dependency

Some research consumes crops unlocked by earlier research. Watermelon needs Tomato, and Tomato research needs Potato, so unlock the dependency chain before treating a missing shop listing as a bug.
